Foundation

Former Marikina Mayor Wenceslao C. dela Paz established Marikina Academy, a private secondary school, to provide affordable education to children of shoemakers and farmers in Marikina.

1941–1944

War & Closure

Operations halted during World War II.Founder Wenceslao dela Paz was arrested by Japanese authorities and died in 1944. The school ceased operations after his passing.

Post-War Renaissance

Offering undergraduate studies in the liberal arts, education, and commerce.

Transformation into Roosevelt College

RMHS began offering collegiate programs, rebranding as Roosevelt College. Elementary school division reinstated.

Expansion of Campuses

Cubao campus moved to a new site (1969). Cainta campus opened in 1974, later becoming the flagship hub in 1976 after RC San Roque's transfer. College programs expanded to include Arts and Sciences, Education, Nursing, and Commerce.

Academic Growth

Established Institute of Graduate Studies (1970s). Expanded research and teacher training programs. 1980s: Focused on reforms in academic standards, management, and facilities. Began PAASCU accreditation efforts.

1990S

Modernization & Tech Integration

Opened Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Business Management programs. Strengthened Engineering and Teacher Education. Introduced early computer education for grade school and high school. Major infrastructure projects: new college buildings, gymnasium renovations, upgraded libraries and labs.

Strategic Developments

Continued improvements in infrastructure and academic quality. 2008: Discussions began for a partnership with Far Eastern University (FEU).

Acquisition by FEU

FEU acquired a majority stake in Roosevelt College, Inc. (RCI), integrating it into the FEU Group of Schools.
